MS. SAMANTHA CHAVEZ
Born in Mexico but a long-time Nebraska resident, Samantha is passionate about civic engagement, especially among youth. A first-generation college graduate, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO).
She has worked with several nonprofits to increase civic engagement, volunteered to work at polling places on Election Day, and worked as an administrative aide at the Nebraska Legislature. Samantha’s passion for democracy has led her to work for candidates that support Nebraskans and uphold our nonpartisan unicameral legislature.
As a board member, she is looking forward to engaging youth in the legislative process. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys reading, resting and spending time with her friends and family.
