Edison McDonald of Hickman, Nebraska is an award-winning nonprofit leader, seasoned campaign strategist, best-selling author, and relentless lobbyist. Central to his work is a profound belief in the power of connectivity, linking individuals to the resources they need to thrive.

With a diverse background that spans nonprofits, for-profits, political entities, and faith organizations, Edison has leveraged his skills to effect real change. As an experienced Millennial Executive Director, he uniquely merges old-school and new-school tactics to yield powerful results. His mission-driven approach boasts a range of accomplishments: expanding Medicaid Waiver funding for people with disabilities by over 42%, nearly doubling state Special Education Funding, tripling organizational membership, and significantly expanding fundraising, among others.

His firm belief in service of God’s creation has had him serve as the Co-Chair for Nebraska Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities, a member of the Governors Advisory Board for Disability, on the board for Nebraska Interfaith Power and Light, the Westminster Youth and Young Adult Advisory Committee, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Board, Nebraska Farmers Union Officer, and as a member of Rotary.
