Chris Snurr lives in Lincoln, and received his Bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Chris has worked as a CPA in public accounting and as a CFO for a medium sized company. He has been active in and a board member of several service clubs, nonprofit organizations and government entities. Chris is married and has two children.
Chris feels that elected officials need to be accountable to all citizens and not just accountable to a political party and current party leadership. Nebraska's history of nonpartisanship has been vital to effective governance. “We create the best solutions when individuals contribute their ideas and work with others to arrive at a solution. Win-Win is the best in negotiations; however, with partisanship, we experience Win-Lose or Lose-Lose outcomes, and important problems do not get addressed."
