Rev. Chris Morton

Board Member

Rev. Chris Morton is the father of two children who live in Minnesota, partnered with Julie who lives in the State of Washington and is an elementary school music teacher, and tries to stay connected to his five siblings who live across the country.   Chris graduated from Ohio University in Athens, and after 8 years of running not-for-profit organizations responded to a call to ministry.  While at Lexington Theological Seminary in Kentucky he was the Regional Church’s Social Justice Advocate.  Since then Chris has lived into his calling by pastoring churches in Indiana, Minnesota, and Washington; directed a statewide interfaith hunger organization; consulted with 100s of not-for-profit organizations, most of which addressed poverty in one expression or another (e.g., hunger, homelessness, employment), led/directed ecumenical agencies in Minnesota and Washington, and directed a statewide sustainable food systems organization that included a 200-acre organic farm and training center, plus an organic food brokerage service.  Chris moved to Nebraska to accept a call to serve as Regional Minister for the Christain Church In Nebraska -- being a pastor to the ministers serving our denomination’s churches throughout the State.
